SureCall Case Study: Andy S.

SureCall’s Fusion2Go 2.0™ keeps oil and gas industry workers connected on their mobile devices in areas with the weakest signals.

About the Customer

Working for a major oil and gas company with drill site locations across the United States, Andy, a Drill Site Manager in rural Texas, stays on location for days straight.

With a family at home and a need to call, send and receive information from team members in other areas, he needed a way to stay connected in areas that had extremely weak cell signals.

The Challenge

Having an occupation that changed locations hour-to-hour, day-to-day, and week-to-week, Andy would often have cellular signal but that was simply not cutting it. His closeness with family and success on the job relied on his ability to communicate with family and contacts in other locations.

At his primary housing locations, Andy averaged 3 bars of signal strength but when driving around to nearby or faraway drill sites, he would average just 1 bar.

“I was dropping calls every day and I couldn’t get my jobs done without giving or getting info… my wife was getting ticked-off and I was too,” explains Andy.

The Solution

Independent from his employer, Andy researched his options and purchased the SureCall Fusion2Go 2.0 signal booster for cars and trucks from The Fusion2Go 2.0 is leading the market with its robust performance, ease of install, and auto-adjusting gain, which allows you to install the product and never have to touch it again.

“I checked out the options and it [Fusion2go 2.0] checked off all the boxes for what I needed… Since I installed it, I’d say my call quality has gone from about 40% to 90%,” says Andy.

We connected with Andy a few months after he purchased and installed the unit, which he explained was “really easy.” He explained that the Fusion2Go 2.0 has kept him connected in the large majority of his problem areas. He is now more productive and he says, “overall I’d say I’m very happy with my purchase.”
