SureCall’s Fusion2Go 3.0™ keeps public utility company employee connected in extremely rural areas with weak cell signals.
A Journeyman Lineman for one of the top five leading utilities companies in the United States, Jake Taylor’s work takes him on the road every day. His truck is his office.
A large part of his job involves maintaining and setting utility poles and he does this in a number of his assigned areas across Northern California. Many of these jobs provide electricity in areas with reliable cellular coverage, however, the lines that connect those two areas often travel through zones that are nearly void of cellular connectivity.
On a weekly basis, Taylor explained, he would be in five or more areas where there was no usable signal and would often need to drive elsewhere to get in contact with off-site team members. This bogged down his projects and led to long days.
“Driving off the job site to get a better signal was eating up my time. I just dealt with it for a while but a few months ago I gave it [a signal booster] a try,” said Taylor.
The nature of Taylor’s job is ever-changing and the exterior of the company trucks he often drives are constructed with thick steel, which reflects cellular signals. He needed a solution that could bring that signal into his vehicle to reduce dropped calls and improve data transfers in weak signal areas.
Most often working with multi-person crews Taylor wanted the added benefit of being able to keep his co-workers connected so anybody could make and receive calls and data.
A worthwhile solution needed to resolve each of these challenges.
After thoroughly researching his options, Taylor was drawn to SureCall’s brand new Fusion2Go 3.0 for three primary reasons:
- 2X More Uplink Power than the Closest Competitor – Getting a signal from a cell tower is easy. The hard part is getting a small device to send a signal back to the tower. Max uplink power allows Fusion2Go 3.0 to send signals back to tower at greater distances than any other booster on the market.
- Faster Data Speeds – The booster’s well designed engineering enables Fusion2Go 3.0 to more efficiently transmit and receive data signals on limited cellular signals.
- All Carriers & Multiple Users – Fusion2Go 3.0 supports multiple simultaneous users and works with all cellular network providers in the United States and Canada.
Taylor researched his options on Amazon.com and purchased his Fusion2Go 3.0, later expensing it with his employer for full repayment.
“I was skeptical of these but decided to give it a try. So far it’s given me usable signal 95% of the time, which is way more than I had before,” explains Taylor.
Having used the Fusion2Go 3.0 for over a month now, Taylor has been very happy with the performance and has seen a large reduction in dropped calls and an improvement to his data speeds in areas where it mattered most.
